Whilst searching for practitioners for my case study I came across the re-toucher Morgan Silk who's various HDR images are indulgent landscapes, rich in detail and depth. Perspective is used effectively to first engage the viewer. Then texture and tones of the images are also radiated/saturated by the HDR process which further participates the viewer with the work. Consequently, utilizing these components, the observations of the scenes, connote the subtle movements, or lack of, which are available due to the privileged and omniscient viewpoint afforded to the viewer. Of particular interest to me is the 'Fairytale' series, as it, immits a powerful aura despite a lack of movement, this stillness, is a telling documentation of this serene and calm environment. From this visual research I will implement this idea of scene observation I will explore cityscapes, from a perspective which will communicate a substantial quantity of pictorial information.
