1) Interiors- With this mini-project title I would like to look at aesthetically interesting and the social hubs of both pubs and shopping centers. Creating a series of such locations would be of interest for comparison and cross-analysis.
2) HDR- I've always been interested in ‘high dynamic range’ imaging and felt that if implemented correctly can create visually stunning photographs. A method which is almost a recreation of the actual scene, or a pictorial representation, which brings new depth and detail to images that could otherwise have been quite flat and uninteresting. I’d like to use this process on principally indoor environments but will also explore landscapes/cityscapes as well.
3) Studio Lighting- Within this project title I will specifically look at portraiture and try to advance my level of lighting.
4) Still Life- A topic which I briefly explored within the first year I would like to re-investigate Taking two seperate and distinct approaches to this subject, firstly, I will approach this topic with a similar aesthetic to Dutch still life paintings and the pictorialism movement. I will look at constructing narrative still life scenes but will also experiment with product/commercial still life photography, specifically alcoholic beverages.
